Community Choice?

This is a bi-weekly article put out by yours truly using your features!  The concept is a great one, you select 3-5 deviations that you think are fantastic (not daily deviations, you can select an artist that has had one, but not the daily deviation), do a write up about why it is amazing (about a paragraph) and send me a note with your selections!  Its that easy and a great way to show off some pieces that you are absolutely in love with!  Of course, Manga and Anime only for me

"Summer's end" by: ~Jen-Jen-Rose

Though the lineart is fuzzy, it still flows with the overall simple mood of the image The simplicity of it catches the eye right away, as so as the expression of the character. There's not that much stuff there, but nothing seems out of place

"Winter" by: ~Meari

It was hard to decide on this one. I just loved the character's expression and the oekaki style in everything on this piece. I know it's small, but it's greatly done. The colors suit the scene in a really nice way, as the simple background. Simple works too have something to see.

"on a spring day" by: ~Artistic-Tsuna

Look at those details! And those colors! And it was fully made with a mouse it's just an amazing feat. The character and the background get along pretty fine, showing this is a nice work to lay our eyes on.

Stare at it right now! A powerful lineart and a great coloring, with an overlay pattern that makes it look even better. A great character expression suiting the image theme, a lot of details and a unique way to built an artwork. Sure you can see this here

"Soldiers" by: ~Giname

You have to admire a person who can pick up a pencil and create amazing pictures. If you take a moment to observe this deviation you will notice the amazing pencil work that was used in the coloring. The details are amazing and the eyes simply captivate me. Well, as I always say, anyone can use a pencil, but you have to learn how to create amazing pieces with those same pencils.

"Magic In Your Eyes" by: ~Amuria

I simply love this deviation. There is something magical about just by looking at it. When I first saw this deviation I couldn't help but to stare into the eye. Take a minute though to look at the rest of the drawing. The emotion on her face is almost sad, and I feel sympathetic for her. I highly suggest checking out the rest of this deviant's gallery.

"Valkyrie" by: *Sage-of-Winds

I have been watching *Sage-of-Winds since she first joined DeviantART, and I have watched her style change and improve over the years. In my opinion, this is one of her most impressive original pieces. It almost has a realistic feel to it, which is what makes me love it so much. "::Starry Duet::" by: *Cindiq

Simply amazing. I love looking at drawings such as ::Starry Duet:: because they remind me of pieces that I would see in an art book. This is such a beautiful piece that deserves to be looked at. The details on this deviation are simply amazing, and the background is stunning and beautiful. Make sure you check out the rest of this deviant's gallery for sure!

"Love scream party" by: ~GarasudamA

There is nothing that I love more then bright colors in a deviation. Deviations that stand out due to their bright colors are some of my favorites. They just scream "Hey look at me", and I personally believe that this deviation is doing exactly that. Take a look at all of details used with color pencils. I am highly impressed with this deviation, and it is one of my favorite pieces in all of my favorites. Go take a look through this deviant's gallery!

"Sister's Secret" by: ~LadyWinter

This one has some of the most adorable expressions I have ever seen, as well as some very detailed and realistic pencil work. The eyes really catch and hold onto the watcher's attention.

A very original character design as well as beautiful colour combinations. I really just love the composition of this piece

"Summer Fun" by: ~LadyWinter

This is just a very active and fun piece. The character interaction is well presented and the background compliments the characters very nicely.


As you can see, everyone had a different approach to this but the outcome was the same: Deviants were featured by deviants! This is such a fun project and I hope to see your submissions for then next article!
