Good afternoon everyone!  I hope everyone is doing groovy today  

So, what is this journal that is sporting a lovely CSS made by Ikue all about?  Well, when the HLE Contest ended a lot of people were looking forward to the next contest and after the success of the HLE Contest I really wanted to hold another.  So, that is what this new spiffy journal is about  I chose a nice dark themed one since this contest is going to be for my yangire character Tilt

I had another contest in mind but I decided to hold off on that one till after the book is out.  That way people can get to know the other characters a little before drawing them

ABOUT

Tilt is a yangire.  It is very similar to a yandere minus the love aspect.  She doesn't really understand love.  She was never shown any affection so she doesn't know how to give any.  Her mother was incredible violent with her and so she thought this was how love was shown.  Tilt once heard that love comes from the heart so, in an attempt to get motherly affection, Tilt removed her mothers heart to see where the love was.  Much to her chagrin, she was unable to find it.

Her name is not really Tilt but she doesn't remember her real name.  Mr. Teddy gave her that name in one of her hallucinations and she kept it.  Her mother gave her her former name so she loathed it anyways.  

Tilt is incredibly violent.  Not in the "blow stuff up" way but in the serial killer way.  She is sort of similar to Dexter except she doesn't only kill bad guys.  Her favorite type to slaughter are people who remind her of her mother.  She is also very skilled in human anatomy.  Her favorite tool is her chainsaw.  She specifically designed it for flesh removal so that is why it has blade like teeth rather than the bike chain teeth you normally find on chainsaws.  She also enjoys detail work.  Once her toy (victim) is sufficiently blinded and their mouths are sewn or wired shut she will begin dissection.  Where she learned these things is a mystery and strange since she is unable to tie her own shoes.

She has an affection for cats though.  This is because they can watch her work without passing any judgement on her.  At one time a cat got in to her play area and watched her work.  At first she was annoyed but when the cat nonchalantly started grooming itself she fell in love with the evil creature.  She even made a kitty skull emblem to show her love of the animal.  She has many roaming around the house.  Sometimes, if they have been good, she lets them clean up after her

The police were never able to find her mothers body and/or the killer.  She looked so innocent to them that they never ever expected this little girl to be the culprit.  The insurance company paid her mother's sizable life insurance (to Tilt's surprise she was the sole benefactor) and now Tilt happily lives of the the interest of that.  The large-to-huge house was paid for so she now owns it.  She only has to pay the taxes but the interest covers that easily.  It is secluded from everything so it is a perfect place for her

It must be 100% your own work (meaning no collaborations).   This includes the use of adopted bases. Adopted bases are a collaboration and are, quite often, traced.

No traces, copies or reproductions.  Period.  If I even suspect you traced or stole anything you will be disqualified.  I loathe tracing

It has to be a work made for this contest.  This means the picture needs to be submitted to your gallery after this journals post date.  It also means that you cannot enter a picture I commissioned as it was not made for this contest

The prizes are slightly different this time around since I got so many great entries in the HLE contest.  I had a hard time narrowing down 3 winners so this time there will be runner ups  I also like how Hiiragi-san is doing it in her Iso and Nia contest

I will pay this out through PayPal.  If you do not have PayPal I will give you the equivalent amount of points (4000).

Second Place! ($30 US Dollars)

I will pay this out through PayPal.  If you do not have PayPal I will give you the equivalent amount of points (2400).

I will pick a winner based on which one I consider my favorite.  Of course I will look a technical abilities, how well you depicted her and how interesting a piece is but in the end, I am just going to pick my favorite

And, yes, I did check what day 2-June is.  It is a Sunday  During the HLE contest I needed to extend since it ended on a Thursday.  This was evil on my behalf.  This gives you about 2 months and a week.  Due to how long the contest is and the fact that it is ending on a Sunday means there will be NO extensions.  I don't like giving them so I am saying this up front

Can a piece be traditional or digital?
I don't care what medium you make the piece in.  You don't get any extra "points" for using one or the other.  I am judging on quality not how it was created.

Can I enter?
Of course!  The contest is open to everyone

Does it have to be anime/manga styled?
No, not at all.  Just cause I draw anime/manga that doesn't mean I don't like other styles; it just means I don't make art in those other styles.  If you want to draw her in a realism/western/adventure time style then go for it

You said no adopted bases, can it be a doll/pixel art?
Sure can so long as you made the base for the doll.  I also like pixel art so I am not opposed to it at all.  

Adopted bases, on the other hand, make the piece a collaboration and those are not allowed.  Also, a major chunk of "bases" on dA are traced right from anime and I hate those

Does it have to be colored?
Not at all!  Tones looks quite nice yes.  It should be more than a line art though.  Unless it is gods gift to line art the likelihood of me selecting a line art as the winner is almost nil.

Do I have to draw her chainsaw?
Nope, she has other tools like hammers and axes.  Or, you could just draw her.  She doesn't always work.  That being said, her tools are a big part of her persona so I do recommend giving her something.

Do I need to draw a background?
No, you don't have to but I recommend it.  I like backgrounds and I think a picture looks complete when it has one.  Since I am the judge of this it might be a good idea.  Your call though

In one of the references she has striped stockings.  Can I draw those instead of the black ones?
Sure can  She has black thigh highs and striped thigh highs.

Can I change her outfit?
You can ^_^  She probably has more than one outfit

Can it be a chibi?
Sure can.  It's your call as to what you make.

Does it have to be full bodied?
Nope!  It's completely your call on what you decide to draw.  

Do I have to draw gore?
Nope!  Technically speaking I have only once drawn her in a gory environment.  Her violence and gore obsession is easy to imply so it does not need to be explicit.

I don't like violence/gore/etc!  Can I draw her doing something else?
You sure can!  Tilt is still a 12 year old girl so I am sure she likes to do girly things sometimes.  

Can it be mature content?
So long as it doesn't break any dA rules then it is a-okay with me  Tilt uses a specialized chainsaw for dismembering humans therefore there is going to be some mature content  Remember, Tilt is 12 years old so she cannot be drawn in the nude according to dA's policies.  Though this will likely not happen I feel the need to point it out since we are talking about mature content

Do she have to be doing anything?
No, you can draw her standing there if you want.  You can draw her however you want.   Just like backgrounds, I like scenes so keep that in mind

Can I gift the prize to someone else?
Sure can.  I will ask the winners when I choose them if they want the prize or if they want to donate it.

Can I enter more than once?
You sure can.  You could enter 50 times, I don't mind  You can only win one prize though.   This means if one of your entries wins a prize then your other entries cannot win a prize

I'm done with my entry, now what?
Note it to me!  Leaving it on my front page might cause it to get lost
